WNT-mediated signaling relay in stem cells and oncogenesis - from basic biology to applications


We seek 12 highly motivated, and interactive  students  with an MSc degree and 3 postdocs who aim for an ambitious interdisciplinary project using chemical, biochemical, biophysical, cell-biological or genetics approaches  in an international environment.

  1. The application procedure is open from now on until all positions are filled. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria for Marie Curie Initial Training Networks (FP7).
  2. Applicants should submit their complete application via e-mail in PDF format to Wntsapp-at-umcutrecht.nl. We prefer combining all documents into 1 final PDF file. Your PDF should include:
  • Cover letter, addressed to the WntsApp selection committee, explaining your motivation why you apply with us. You may indicate the WntsApp projects you are interested in (please motivate your selection). You may reproduce key information of your cover letter also in the e-mail.
  • CV (including copies of your key educational certificates)
  • Contact details of at least 2 references (names, addresses, emails and describe your relation to the reference).
  • Please include a Transcript of Records, which documents your performance as an undergraduate or graduate student over time by listing the course units or modules taken, credits gained and the grades awarded.
  • On the first page of the PDF: please indicate you name, surname, date of Birth, nationality, sex and indicate the WntsApp projects you are interested in.
  • Please use your surname for naming the PDF.
  1. The applications will be assessed by the WntsApp selection committee, in which all group leaders are represented. Candidates are in particular evaluated on creativity, originality, intellectual capacity and quality of CV. The selection committee also takes into account interdisciplinarity and international and gender balance.
